The course consists of making a three-legged stool with a carved seat, using almost exclusively specialized hand tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will learn the essential concepts of Green Woodworking and how to obtain wood with the ideal characteristics for working with hand tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will shape the legs using a traditional shaving horse and build the under-carriage using the round and tapered tenon and mortise joints with wedges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course includes everything you need to make the stool and take it home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration<\/strong> : 28 hours (different time intensities depending on the date)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do I need experience?<\/h4><\/div>\n\n

It is good to have some experience with wood. It is a very physically demanding course. <\/p>\n\n

Do I need to bring anything?<\/h4><\/div>\n\n

You don’t need to bring anything, but if you have your own tools that you prefer to use, you can bring them. Remember that they must be sharpened because we won’t have time to sharpen them. <\/p>\n\n

Is lunch included?<\/h4><\/div>\n\n

It’s not included. Once the group is closed, we will arrange where to eat together. <\/p>\n\n

How do you get to Santa Perp\u00e8tua de Mogoda?<\/h4><\/div>\n\n

By public transport from Barcelona, by bus (201 or e11) from La Sagrera \/ Meridiana. Or by Rodalies R2 from Paseo de Gracia to the La Llagosta stop where I can pick you up. <\/p>\n\n

By car it takes 20-30 minutes from Barcelona on the C-33. There are free parking areas near the workshop. <\/p>\n\n

What language is the course in?<\/h4><\/div>\n\n

I am bilingual Spanish\/English. I understand Catalan but I don\u2019t speak it very well. I adapt to the needs of each group. <\/p>\n\n
