A full day in a lovely Mas\u00eda surrounded by forests where you will learn carving techniques with the axe<\/a>, the straight knife <\/a>and the hook knife<\/a> to shape the wood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will start from a branch or log and split it up manually to then shape it into a spoon using only traditional hand tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spoon is just an excuse to delve into the understanding of wood and its anatomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course is not recommended for people who are apprehensive about blood or suffer from hemophilia. It is likely to cut yourself during the course. There are no safety gloves to prevent these types of cuts and we need full sensitivity and touch to correctly learn the techniques.This course requires our full attention, patience and calm mind. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

No experience is required to take this course. Just a lot of enthusiasm and patience. <\/p>\n\n

Do I need to bring anything?<\/h4>\n\n

You don’t need to bring anything. Everything you need is included. <\/p>\n\n

Is lunch included?<\/h4>\n\n

Yes, it includes snacks, lunch and beverages.<\/p>\n\n

I have no way to get to the location, is there transportation available?<\/h4>\n\n

We can arrange transportation for those who don’t have a way to get there. Email me at info@andreacortes.com to arrange this. <\/p>\n\n

What language is the course in?<\/h4>\n\n

I am bilingual Spanish\/English. I understand Catalan but I don\u2019t speak it very well. I adapt to the needs of each group. <\/p>\n\n

Is the course always done outdoors?<\/h4>\n\n

No, only when the weather allows it. Ideally, we carve protected from the sun and rain. <\/p>\n\n

Can minors sign up for the class?<\/h4>\n\n
