
Make a three legged milking stool using only hand tools and cherry wood from the Pyrenees.
The design is based on Bibbings & Hensby‘s “Milking Stool”. You can find free plans on their website.
You will shape the legs using a shaving horse and join them to the seat using conical mortise and tenons with wedges.
The course includes everything you need to make the stool and take it home.
Duration: 8 hours

Do I need experience?
You don’t need any experience to join this class.
Do I need to bring anything?
You don’t need to bring anything, but if you have your own tools that you prefer to use, you can bring them. Remember that they must be sharpened because we won’t have time to sharpen them.
Is lunch included?
It’s not included. Once the group is closed, we will arrange where to eat together. We can go to a restaurant or we can all bring food from home.
How do you get to Santa Perpètua de Mogoda?
By public transport from Barcelona, by bus (201 or e11) from La Sagrera / Meridiana. Or by Rodalies R2 from Paseo de Gracia to the La Llagosta stop where I can pick you up.
By car it takes 20-30 minutes from Barcelona on the C-33. There are free parking areas near the workshop.
What language is the course in?
I am bilingual Spanish/English. I understand Catalan but I don’t speak it very well. I adapt to the needs of each group.
